THE WRITE ANGLE GOES THE DISTANCE FOR CHARITY
A distance of 13.1 miles to be precise. The Write Angle girls took part in the Moonlight Walk on Saturday 6th June to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice.
Setting off at midnight we pounded the pavements for 4 hours 15 minutes finishing the walk in the early hours of Sunday morning (just behind Jessica Taylor of Liberty X and Dancing on Ice fame).
All ran (or walked at a steady pace) smoothly apart from a few serious blisters, which were treated by the Red Cross who were on hand with much needed plasters and Compeed patches.
So far we have raised nearly £1000 which will go to St Catherine's Hospice, but you are still able to donate, simply go to http://www.justgiving.com/writeanglepr and dig deep!
Managing Director of The Write Angle, Angela Smith, who led the team in the half marathon, says: "St Catherine's Hospice is a great cause and we are really pleased with the amount we have raised so far for them. The walk was gruelling but also great fun, I am really proud of all of The Write Angle girls."
